Why he might be annoying:

He said 'Saddam Hussein and people like him were very much involved in 9/11' even after the 9/11 Commission reported that there was no link.
He declared himself 'flat-out, completely opposed' to the Central American Free Trade Agreement, then cast the deciding vote to pass it.
Introducing John McCain at a rally (October 18, 2008), he began by saying it was important to 'make sure we don't say something stupid, make sure we don't say something we don't mean.'
He then said, 'Liberals hate real Americans that work and accomplish and achieve and believe in God.'
He denied making the statement and accused reporters of 'irresponsible journalism' until an audio tape of his comments surfaced.

Why he might not be annoying:

He married his college sweetheart.
He received an 'A' from the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America.
He said of his remarks at the rally, 'I was actually trying to work to keep the crowd as respectful as possible, so this is definitely not what I intended.'
