Drafted second overall by the Vancouver Grizzlies in the 2000 NBA Draft
Power forward/center for the Vancouver/Memphis Grizzlies (2000-05; 2006-08), Houston Rockets (2005-06), New Jersey Nets (2008-09) and the Phoenix Suns (2009)
Also played for the Shandong Lions (2009-10) and the New Orleans Gators (2017)

Why he might be annoying:

He was another college star who couldn't replicate his success at the NBA level.
He relied primarily on dunking, and had no defensive skills as a result.
He was a self-promoting showboater, referring to his performance as 'The Stro Show.'
He was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and improper telephone communications (February 22, 2011).
He didn't learn his lesson, and was arrested again months later on a charge of stalking (May 20, 2011).

Why he might not be annoying:

He was a member of the LSU team that earned a berth in the Sweet 16 round, despite the program having harsh sanctions against them (2000).
He endeared himself to Vancouver fans by professing his desire to play there, which was the polar opposite of Steve Francis a year earlier.
He was the last member of the Memphis Grizzlies to play for the team in Vancouver.
He was a co-recipient of the Southeastern Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Year award (2000).
Some basketball pundits felt his high draft selection was a result of being part of a historically horrendous 2000 NBA draft class.
