Why he might be annoying:

    He played on six different teams during his career.
    He left Aston Villa on acrimonious terms, in regards to his departure.
    His play with Birmingham City caused him to fall out of favor with the coaching staff and led to his eventual release.
    He earned a four game suspension (later reduced to two games) from the 2010 World Cup qualification tournament after he verbally abused an official.
    He fathered a son out of wedlock with model/author Katie Price, but had nothing to do with his upbringing.
    He was cut from the Trinidadian national team, after it was revealed he missed a practice prior to the 2002 World Cup qualifiers, after he spent the night partying.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He is the brother of Trinidadian cricket player Clint Yorke.
    He was considered one of the greatest players to come out of Trinidad & Tobago.
    He and Russell Latapy were called 'The Strike Squad' for the Trinidadian national team during the 1989 season.
    He was the member of the Trinidad and Tobago team that reached the FIFA World Cup for the first time in the country's history (2006).
    He set an English Premier League record (since broken) for most goals scored by an import player.
    He has a stadium named in his honor in his hometown of Bacolet, Tobago.
