Hockey Coach

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

He played on 20 different teams in three pro leagues during his playing career.
Since he was a minor league journeyman, he was primarily used as a reserve defenseman at the NHL level.
He never spoke to his biological father and became estranged from his adoptive father following his mother's death.
He spent the majority of his NHL playing career on poor teams.
His NHL head coaching debut saw him guide the Oilers to one of the worst starts in team history.

Why he might not be annoying:

He initially grew up in Dade City, Florida prior to his mother's marriage to a Canadian truck driver that saw him move to Canada at the age of 8.
He was considered a hard working defenseman by former coaches during the course of his career.
While playing in Cincinnati, he famously made a bet with local DJ Wildman Walker when the latter said he wouldn't score more then three goals in a season. He scored six in a 30 game span and shaved Walker's head at center ice (1994).
He changed his number from #6 to #37 in honor of the late Dan Snyder during his final professional season.
He is the first head coach of Cherokee ancestry in NHL history.
His playing career was chronicled in the book ' Journeymen: 24 Bittersweet Tales of Short Major League Sports Careers.'
He got the chance to play for the Panthers on two separate occasions, making him the first native of South Florida to play for the team.
