    It is located right on the border of Nevada and Arizona.
    It is extremely hot here, due to its location in the desert and a lack of an urban heat island in the community.
    Its economy heavily relies on gambling.
    It is little more than a pit stop on the way to Las Vegas.
    It earned notoriety in 2017, after it was revealed that the Vegas mass shooter Stephen Paddock lived in the community at the time of the massacre.

    It saw a significant population growth in the years following its incorporation as a city.
    It became a popular community amongst the seniors demographic.
    Its year round warm weather and lavish golf courses made it a popular destination among golf enthusiasts.
    It was considered one of the fastest growing small towns in the United States (2006).
    It is considered the halfway point between Las Vegas and St. George, Utah.
