Hockey Player

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

He initially did not wow Scotty Bowman with his play during his first couple seasons with the Wings.
Bowman went as far as telling him he should switch his number to 98, cause that's when he felt he would be back playing in Sweden.
He allowed his cousin's daughter to be baptized inside the Stanley Cup.
His playing style was considered obstructive by hockey pundits.
He wore extra padding under his equipment, which some players felt gave him an unfair advantage on the ice.

Why he might not be annoying:

He proved Bowman wrong, by proving to be a reliable forward during the Red Wings Stanley Cup championship contention years.
He was a member of four Red Wings championship teams (1997, 1998, 2002, 2008).
He unselfishly switched his number from #15 to #96, following the Red Wings acquisition of Dmitri Mironov at the 1998 trade deadline, and kept it for the remainder of his career.
He excelled at being able to screen the goaltender, along with providing a physical presence at the net to provide scoring chances.
He was the last active member of the Red Wings four championship teams between 1997 and 2008 to retire.
