The Resume

    (October 18, 1990- )
    Born in Los Angeles, California
Running back for the Seattle Seahawks
Former running back for the UCLA Bruins (2008-2011)
    Super Bowl champion (2013)

Why he might be annoying:

He shares his name with the basketball player.
He was initially recruited to USC by Pete Carroll, but turned it down in favor of UCLA.
Some football pundits felt he was passed over in the 2012 NFL Draft as a result of his deafness.
He scored his first NFL touchdown after the ball was deflected off another player.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was the first legally deaf player in NFL history to play on the offensive side of the ball.
He never used his deafness as an excuse for being cut from teams.
Unlike the other Derrick Coleman, he is humble and modest.
His inspirational story of overcoming obstacles was featured in a Duracell commercial.
He garnered national attention after he and Duracell financed a trip for a family whose hearing impaired twin daughters corresponded with him to Super Bowl XLVIII.
