Why Everybody Loves Raymond might be annoying:

Due to a contract dispute Brad Garrett was written out of the first episode of the eight season (aired - September 22, 2003).
Everyone but Ray wanted to do the 2004-05 season. He eventually agreed to do a shortened 16 episode season.
What a presumptuous name - 'Everybody Loves Raymond.'
Patricia Heaton was pregnant during some episodes and had to be shot around.
Patricia Heaton's husband David Hunt appears in the role of Bill Parker and Ray Romano's daughter Alexandra Romano portrays Molly.
Ray's character is about six years younger than he really is, and Patricia's ten years younger.
The twins were originally named Matthew and Gregory. Those are the names of Ray Ramono's real twins.
In the pilot, the twins and older sister were played by twins and their older sister. They were all replaced by a different set of twins and their older sister.
In most episodes, unless part of the plot, the children are not referred to and are virtually non-existent.
Ray Romano joked that Patricia Heaton was given the part of Debra because 'she was the only one willing to kiss me in the auditions.'
Originally Amy's brother was Russell portrayed by Paul Reubens (Pee Wee Herman), he was replaced by Peter portrayed by Chris Elliott
They leave their front and back doors unlocked despite living in New York.
They are irritated that their the parents come in unannounced, yet they keep the doors unlocked?

Why Everybody Loves Raymond might not be annoying:

The first season was seen on Fridays, after showing some early success they were moved to Mondays.
They are a mainstay of the CBS' Monday Night sit-com line-up.
They were successful as part of CBS alternate programming versus Monday Night Football.
They spun-off the series 'King of Queens.'
The show takes place in Long Island.
Peter Boyle got lost on his way to the audition for Frank Barone, so he arrive quite agitated. The producers thought that was perfect.
    The scripts are well written.
Since appearing on Mondays, the series finished among the top dozen shows every year.
