Hockey Player

The Resume

    (April 29, 1967- )
Member of the St. Louis Blues (1989-95), Edmonton Oilers (1995-98), Toronto Maple Leafs (1998-2002) and Detroit Red Wings (2002-05) and Phoenix Coyotes (2006- )

Why he might be annoying:

He was not drafted out of college.
He can do a complete split.
Because of the first two letters of his first and last name, he has been dubbed 'Cujo.'
He was traded to the Oilers for two 1st round draft picks.
He signed with the Red Wings after not being able to bring a Stanley Cup to Toronto, infuriating many Leaf fans.
After a, what many called, disappointing 2002-03 season as their every day goalie, Dominik Hasek came out of retirement. Dominik went on to start as the team's goalie.
After becoming injured, Curtis found himself playing behind Manny Legace.
In addition to Legace's stellar play, he was held back from being their starter because of a few nagging injuries.
He was sent down to hockey's 'minors' (2004).
He makes 8 million a year to either be booed while on the ice, be injured or play third fiddle behind Dominik Hasek and Manny Legace.
    He is balding.
Red Wings fans prefer Manny Legace to him.
Critics of his have nicknamed him 'CuJoke.'
It is believed that the Red Wings are more than willing to trade him, but probably wont find many buyers because of his huge contract.

Why he might not be annoying:

He has a career goals against average of 2.75.
Although not being drafted, he signed with the St. Louis Blues and went on to be their everyday goalie.
He, in a rare showing for a professional athlete, has an informative official website.
He is patient, having not complained about being played behind Manny Legace.
He donates money and time to various charities.
While with the Edmonton Oilers, he bought a skybox and donated the tickets to Underprivileged children who would not be able to attend an Oilers game otherwise.
He has one of the more memorable sports nicknames.
