    He pleaded no contest to misdemeanor battery to avoid time behind bars, after he and two other firefighters assaulted Samuel Chang. (The firefighters thought Chang was passing out drug-laced candy to trick-or-treaters on Halloween, and then chased 22-year-old Samuel Chang, until catching him and pinning him to the ground. He and another firefighter helped pin Samuel Chang to the ground, while another held him in a chokehold until Samuel Chang fell unconscious. They performed CPR until paramedics arrived, and Samuel Chang was hospitalized for weeks (October 31, 2015).
    The victim, Samuel Chang, then sued him and the 2 others involved in the incident for $7 million for the injuries he sustained (2019).

Why he might not be annoying:

    After retiring from his acting career, he worked for the Los Angeles Police and Fire Departments as a firefighter.
    He resembles Ralph Macchio.
    He started acting and modeling at the age of 12 when a casting manager spotted him in line for a ride at a school carnival in the early 90's.
    He will always be known as the pro baseball player, Benjamin Franklin 'Benny the Jet' Rodriguez character in 'The Sandlot' (1993).
    He was bitten on the leg by Hercules the dog while filming a chase scene in 'The Sandlot.'
    He has a huge crush on Marley Shelton.
