    Played on the Brazil National Football Team (1964-82)
    Manager for Al-Wehda (1988-89), Kalamata (1997-98) and Gabon (2003-05)

Why he might be annoying:

    He was unfairly compared to Garrincha throughout his career.
    He played on ten different teams.
    He sported an enormous afro during his playing career.
    He admitted his decision to sign with Kaizer Chiefs was largely influenced by the stadium atmosphere.
    His tenure with Marseille ended after he and another player were found guilty of assaulting a referee in a game (1975).

    He got his start in soccer as a ball boy at the age of 13, before earning a roster spot on the junior team two years later.
    He was considered an intimidating presence on the field, due to his large frame.
    He was a member of the Brazilian national team that played in three consecutive World Cup tournaments (1966, 1970, 1974).
    He was extremely versatile on the field, as he could play either the scoring or attacking roles seamlessly.
    He was considered one of the greatest players of his era to come out of Brazil.
