Why he might be annoying:

    He struggled to find a full-time roster spot with the Rangers.
    His hip-check technique was considered dirty by hockey pundits.
    He didn't receive any recognition outside of St. Louis.
    His tenure as Blues head coach only lasted 11 games.
    Despite being considered a franchise legend, many casual fans tend to overlook him in favor of the likes of the players from the 1990's and 2000's eras.
    He liked to pull pranks on his teammates.

    He was a member of the inaugural Blues team (1967-68).
    He played alongside his brothers, Barclay and Bill during the Blues formative years.
    He was a member of all three of the first Blues teams that reached the Stanley Cup Finals in consecutive years (1968-70).
    He was described as being able to find ways to keep the locker room loose.
    He was one of the first front office executives to use advanced scouting techniques.
    He was associated with the Blues franchise in various capacities from the franchise's inception, up until his death.
    He took the Stanley Cup to his brother Barclay's grave following the team's Stanley Cup victory (2019).
