Why they might be annoying:

None of them are actually Southerners.
They sang ‘The Only Jew in Tulsa’ on Comedy Central’s Premium Blend.
Their website reads: ‘It was Judeen’s infamous sado-masochistic affair with her minister of music, that cost The Chalks their career in Christian music.’ (Wait… what?)
They claimed they were arrested and placed on a 90-day bus ban after accidentally burning down Tubby’s Bar and Grill in Atlanta when Judelle tried to set her microphone aflame and twirl it, but instead set fire to the establishment.

Why they might not be annoying:

They filmed a sitcom pilot for Lifetime.
They are a parody of The Judds-style acts.
Kathryn Markey is a Broadway veteran with ‘3 From Brooklyn.’
Leenya Rideout appeared on Broadway in revivals of ‘Cabaret’ and ‘Company’ and at Lincoln Center in ‘War Horse.’
They started out as a sketch comedy routine formed out of a writers’ group and became a full-fledged country music act.
One review wrote: 'If the Sex and the City cast were a traveling group of white trash singers, this is what they'd sound like.'
