Why he might be annoying:

    He was undersized as a player.
    He had a nomadic tenure as a wide receiver coach
    Most casual football fans will associate him for being on the losing end of Super Bowl XX.
    He was the first Patriot coach to lose in the Super Bowl.
    His scrawny stature led to him being injury prone during his playing career.
    He was fired by the Patriots, when he refused to cede control of player personnel decisions.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He defied the odds and cracked the Colts roster and served as Johnny Unitas's favorite target.
    He was extremely attentive to details during both his playing and coaching careers.
    He set a pre-Super Bowl record, by recording 12 receptions in the NFL Championship Game (1958).
    He got his start in the coaching ranks on Tom Landry's staff.
    He guided the Patriots to a 4-2 record upon taking over mid-season, guiding the team to a 9-7 record and earning the head coaching job on a permanent basis.
    He took the blame for the Patriots loss in the Super Bowl, citing he couldn't think of a strategy against the Bears defense.
