    Best known for their song 'Never Been Any Reason' and the album 'Flat as a Pancake'

Why they might be annoying:

    They are labeled as a one-hit wonder despite never having a top-40 hit.
    They had other singles chart higher than 'Never Been Any Reason,' but they are not nearly as remembered.
    They are overshadowed by a much more successful rock band from Champaign, Il.
    John Schlitt had a bizarrely high-pitched singing voice (similar to Geddy Lee).
    Schlitt was fired from the band for his substance abuse.
    Schlitt became a born-again Christian in the 80's.
    They continue touring even though Boyd is the only original member left.

    'Never Been Any Reason' is a classic rock radio staple and the album it appeared on ('Flat as a Pancake') went gold.
    John Schlitt eventually became drug free and went on to have success with the Christian rock band Petra.
    They had a huge cult following in central Illinois.

    They are the opposite of Go West.
