Why he might be annoying:

He whistles in his sleep.
He worked six years as a book-binder, a job he hated.
The first day he tried to read 'The Lord of the Rings,' he dropped it in a pool.
He admits that Dominic Monaghan is doing a lot of the work on a script they're writing because Billy is lazy.
He wears a kilt on formal occasions.
