Why they might be annoying:

Their music is primarily Satanic in nature.
They had three vocalists/bassists: Stering Von Scarborough, David Vincent and Steve Tucker.
Richard Brunelle left the band in the mid nineties and was replaced by Eric Rutan. Rutan later left in 2002.
Their original debut, 'Abominations of Desolation,' released in 1986, was scrapped because the band didn't like the final results.

Why they might not be annoying:

They are an influential death metal band.
'Altars of Madness' and 'Blessed are the Sick' were re-issued in 2003 with new liner notes by Trey Azagthoth and bonus tracks.
'Blessed are the Sick' is widely considered to be a favorite among fans of Morbid Angel.
Although being a death metal outfit, they had classical elements in their 1991 release, 'Blessed are the Sick' and even industrial tinges on their 1995 release, 'Domination,' showing their willingness to experiment with their sound. Their original debut, 'Abominations of Desolation,' was released in 1991. Pete Sandoval is known as an excellent drummer in the extreme metal scene. If you look at the first letter of each album in order of release, they are virtually in perfect alphabetical (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H).
