Why she might be annoying:

At her father’s insistence, she studied law, but failed her oral exams.
Her status as Picasso’s lover and muse overshadowed her own work.
Picasso biographer John Richardson described her memoir as ‘indiscretion masquerading as candor’ and ‘chip-on-the-shoulder malice.’

Why she might not be annoying:

During the German occupation of Paris, she was placed on a list of agitators for joining a student rally that commemorated the French victory in World War I by placing flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
During an argument, Picasso stubbed out a lit cigarette on her cheek.
After she left Picasso, he used his influence to keep galleries from selling or exhibiting her work.
She was named an Officer of the Legion of Honor, the French government’s highest honor for an artist (2010).
