Discovered by hikers between Austria and Italy (September 19, 1991)
Given the name Ötzi by scientists
Stored in a cold-storage vault at the Archaeological Museum of Bolzano in Italy

Why he might be annoying:

He is kept in a specially designed chamber preventing more decomposition.
He was short (5'4).
His left hip and buttock were damaged when they dug him up.
His bow and arrow was found with him.
He had 59 tattoos.
It is not know why he was on the mountain where he died.

Why he might not be annoying:

He may have been murdered, he had an arrowhead imbedded in his back and a deep knife wound on his right hand.
He lived to his mid forties.
Because of the cold, much of his body was preserved.
He is the earliest mummy found.
