    Professional boxer famed for his spectacular trio of fights with Arturo Gatti and who inspired the 2010 movie 'The Fighter' starring Mark Wahlberg, Christian Bale, and Amy Adams
    Professional boxing record of 38 - 13 with 27 knockout wins
    Three time New England Golden Gloves champion
    World Boxing Union Welterweight champion
    Retired for three years after losing four fights in a row and came back to win the WBU welterweight championship and engage in his three fight war with Gatti

Why he might be annoying:

    He had no defensive skills whatsoever.
    During his semi-retirement, he had hand surgery which may have increased his punching power for his comeback.
    He has a bit of a temper.
    His WBU title was lightly regarded and he never defended it.

Why he might not be annoying:

    His trilogy of fights with the late Arturo Gatti will forever remain a legend in boxing.
    His fight with Emanuel Burton and his second two fights with Gatti were named fights of the year by Ring Magazine 2001 - 2003, making him the first man to ever fight in Ring's Fight of the Year three years in a row.
    He had a ferocious offense that featured a brutal left hook to the body that you could feel just by watching it on TV!
    One of the toughest fighters in history, he lost by TKO in one fight due to cuts but was never knocked out.
    The movie inspired by his life was a much acclaimed hit.
