    Born in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada
    60 and 100 meter hurdler
    Won the Gold Medal in 100 m hurdles at the World Championships in Athletics (2003) and in 60 m hurdles at the IAAF World Indoor Championships (2004)
    Won the Silver Medal in 100 m hurdles at the Pan-Am Games (2003, 2007) and the World Championships in Athletics (2007) and in 60 m hurdles at the IAAF World Indoor Championships (2010)
    Won the Bronze Medal in 100 m hurdles at the Continental Cup (2010)

Why she might be annoying:

    She was named Perdita after a contestant on 'The Price is Right'.
    She opted to take up track, after she received a fitness award in third grade.
    Her performance at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens was remembered for her failing to clear the first hurdle and falling into the next lane, disqualifying both her and her competitor in the process.
    She sat out the 2008 Summer Olympics as a result of a foot injury.
    She made a false start at the 2012 Olympic qualifiers, which in turn disqualified her from making the team.

Why she might not be annoying:

    She is a first generation Canadian of Saint Lucian descent.
    She excelled in hurdles, winning first place in the Ontario provincial track and field championships (1998).
    She majored in kinesiology at the University of Illinois.
    She set an NCAA record for fastest time recorded by a freshman track athlete.
    She pursued a career in broadcasting after her track career ended.
