    Drafted 60th overall by the New Orleans Saints in the 1986 NFL Draft
    Linebacker for the New Orleans Saints (1986-92), Detroit Lions (1993-94) and the Oakland Raiders (1995-98)
    NFL Defensive Player of the Year (1991)
    Member of the Louisiana House of Representatives (2001-04)

Why he might be annoying:

    He spent the majority of his career on mediocre teams.
    He is the first player in NFL history to play in six playoff games and be on the losing side every time.
    He butted heads with Jim Mora, which played a role in his trade from New Orleans.
    He initially balked at getting traded to Detroit, until the team coaxed him by taking #56 out of retirement.
    He missed the entire 1997 season as a result of injuries.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He recorded seven sacks in a single game, which set an NCAA record while playing at Georgia Tech.
    He left Georgia Tech as the football program's all-time sack leader (since broken).
    He was considered the anchor of the Saints 'Dome Patrol' defensive unit in the early 1990's.
    He became a successful real estate developer in the New Orleans area, following his retirement from football.
    He and his wife became the legal guardians and later adopted a boy they rescued from an impoverished upbringing.
