The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

He played on six different NHL teams, but if you were also to combine his minor league and European teams as well, he was a member of 15 teams altogether.
He didn't land a full-time NHL roster spot, until he signed with the Wild.
Some hockey pundits went as far as making a point about his South Korean birth on hockey broadcasts.
His skating skills were described as being mediocre at best.
He was primarily used as a bottom-six forward during his career.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is the first Korean-born forward, and second Korean-born player in NHL history.
He excelled as a penalty killing forward during his NHL career.
He briefly served as the Wild's team captain on numerous occasions, under Jacques Lemaire's rotating captaincy plan.
Despite playing his teenage years in the Greater Toronto area, he was considered one of the first players primarily raised in Southern California to reach the NHL.
He, along with Jim Paek (the first Korean-born NHL player) served as coaches for the South Korean men's ice hockey team at the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang (2018).
