    Left winger for the Detroit Falcons/Cougars/Red Wings (1928-39)
    Stanley Cup champion (1936, 1937)
    Hockey Hall of Fame Inductee (1989)

Why he might be annoying:

    His actual name was Herbert Albert.
    He was a heavy smoker during his career.
    He was initially reluctant about playing in the NHL.
    Despite being considered one of the NHL's top players, he didn't get treated like one, until his induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame 50 years later.
    He stepped down as the Red Wings captain, after the team's loss in the 1934 Stanley Cup Finals.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He was considered one of the fastest skaters of his era.
    In addition to his speed, he also was considered tough as nails by his peers.
    He was a member of the Red Wings team that won back-to-back Stanley Cup championships (1936, 1937).
    He was considered a valued leader in the Red Wings locker room.
    Despite his small stature, he was able to excel at making clutch plays for his team.
