    He noted, ‘I really sent more time with him [Fred Rogers] than I did my wife, at times.’
    He appeared in character as Mr. McFeely in a public service announcement reminding people to return their census forms (2010).

    He was also a production assistant, who located costumes and props ranging from hats to a live baby elephant.
    As a public relations manager for Fred Rogers Productions, he visited PBS stations in all fifty states.
    Mr. Rogers’ widow Joanne said, ‘He's so kind, but he's also one of the funniest people I know.’
