He was primarily used as a practice squad player during his NFL career.
He was cut by the Cardinals five months before his death.
He signed with Houston of the USFL, but was traded to Birmingham weeks prior to his death.
He fathered a child out of wedlock, which was revealed that his girlfriend was pregnant at the time of his death.

He was a standout player at Liberty University.
He was considered a model teammate by his former coaches.
He paid his dues on the Chargers practice roster, eventually making the main roster at midseason (2020).
He earned a second chance at reaching the NFL when he signed with the Lions.
He was initially drafted into the reformed XFL, but chose to sign in the USFL where he felt he would have better playing opportunities.
