The Resume

    (July 9, 2006- )
Created by Aaron Yonda and Matt Sloan for Blame Society Productions
Produced for Channel 101 - canceled after two episodes
Achieved popularity after premiering on YouTube
Premise: Chad Vader, younger brother of Darth Vader, works at Empire Market as a supermarket manager, humorously interacting with fellow employees and customers, using buzz phrases and misappropriated dialogue from 'Star Wars' episodes
Empire Market scenes filmed on location at Willy Street Co-op in Madison, WI
Yonda acts as Chad Vader while Sloan provides the voice

Why Chad Vader: Day Shift Manager might be annoying:

Channel 101's website doesn't even acknowledge it ever aired the show.
Just like in 'Star Wars,' they have one guy doing the acting for Chad Vader and another guy doing the voice.
Sloan also portrays Clint Shermer, Vader's arch enemy, so when the two characters interact, Sloan is more or less talking to himself.
Though every episode is free on YouTube, Blame Society Productions still offers DVD sets for purchase.

Why Chad Vader: Day Shift Manager might not be annoying:

Channel 101's loss was YouTube's gain, as the series has a huge cult following.
The videos have been translated into six other languages, including Portuguese, Spanish, French, Chinese, Hebrew and even Lingua Franca Nova (look it up).
Dave Cieslewicz, the mayor of Madison, has appeared as himself in two episodes from Season 1.
Between Seasons 1 and 2, Chad Vader made a series of six 'training videos' for potential new Empire Market employees, afterward stating that 'now your training is complete.'
Season 3 introduced a vampire character to tap into the 'Twilight' craze, portrayed by Ian Zander, son of Cheap Trick's Robin Zander.
George Lucas, a big fan of the series, presented Yonda and Sloan with the George Lucas Selects award for 'The Official Star Wars Fan Film Awards' of 2007.
Sloan does such a good job creating Chad Vader's voice, he was asked to be the voice of Darth Vader in the video games 'Soul Calibur IV' and 'Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.'
