    Born in Wausau, Wisconsin
    Center for the Oakland Raiders (1960-74)
    Nine-time AFL All-Star (1960-69)
    Three-time Pro Bowler (1970-72)
    Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame (1980)

Why he might be annoying:

    No NFL team showed interest in him because he was considered undersized for a center (6'2, 210 pounds).
    He wore the uniform number 00 as a pun on his name. ('Otto' = 'aught-0')
    He broke his nose so many times it had to be rebuilt so he could breathe through it.

Why he might not be annoying:

    After being drafted by the AFL Raiders, he diligently hit the weight room, building up to a playing weight of 255 pounds.
    He never missed a game due to injury.
    Coach John Madden said, 'His skills as a center were just perfect.'
    He had to have his right leg amputated due to an infection in his artificial knee (2007).
    He was named to the AFL All-Time Team and the NFL 100th Anniversary All-Time Team.
