    Recorded the singles 'Kissin Time' (1959), 'Wild One' (1960), 'Swingin School' (1960), 'Volare' (1960), 'Good Time Baby' (1961), 'I've Got Bonnie' (1962), 'The Cha-Cha-Cha' (1962) and 'Forget Him' (1963)
    Appeared in the films 'Bye Bye Birdie' (1963) and 'The Lady from Peking' (1975)

Why he might be annoying:

    His name got changed because bandleader Paul Whiteman could not pronounce Ridarelli.
    He was a teen idol.
    He re-recorded his hits for K-Tel records.
    He co-hosts an infomercial for Time-Life's 'Malt Shop Memories' music collection.
    He tours as part of the 'Golden Boys' with fellow teen idols Frankie Avalon and Fabian.

Why he might not be annoying:

    Unlike many teen idols, he was a genuine musician, playing drums, bass and guitar.
    He had six Top Ten singles.
    Philadelphia renamed the street he was born on 'Bobby Rydell Boulevard.'
    He was the namesake for Rydell High School in 'Grease.'
