Exploded bombs at Bath (MI) Consolidated School, killed thirty-eight children, seven teachers and severely injuring sixty-one others
Caused worst school violence in history

Why he might be annoying:

He blamed taxes for his financial problems.
He felt his town was wasteful.
He was opposed to money going to schools.
He blamed Bath Consolidated School as the main cause of his problems.
He took a job there in 1926 as a maintenance man to begin planting bombs to destroy the school (1926).
He crushed his wife's skull and then proceeded to blow up his farm with all its livestock (May 17, 1927).
He later went and detonate the bombs at the school.
He had a sign at his farm that read 'Criminals are made, not born.'

Why he might not be annoying:

During a fall he suffered a severe head injury pujtting him in and out of a coma for two months (1911).
He fought high taxes.
He blew himself up saving the taxpayers a trial.
His few remains are buried in a pauper's grave.
