Why he might be annoying
He has a huge joker grin.
He portrayed a drag queen in three shows and concluded, 'It's all about the eyelashes. Your eye makeup can be a little rough around the edges, but once you glue on some big black eyelashes, it somehow all comes together.'
He twice fractured ribs by wearing too-tight corsets.
He modeled underwear for 2xist.
He gets psyched before going onstage by telling himself, 'Have a great show, bitch.'
Why he might not be annoying
During his run in 'A Chorus Line' he was given a less revealing costume and moved to the back of the dance line, allegedly because his physique was upstaging star Mario Lopez.
A subsequent New York Post story about 'Broadway's battle of the biceps' gave his career a major boost.
Despite the alleged rivalry, he and Lopez became friends and he introduced Lopez to his future wife, Courtney Mazza.
He raised $20,000 for AIDS Walk New York in two weeks by offering backstage tours of 'Priscilla' for donations of $500 or more.
For his role in 'Priscilla,' he won two Broadway.com Audience Choice Awards, for Favorite Breakthrough Performance and Favorite Diva Performance.
He said it 'meant the world' when Guy Pearce, who originated his part in the movie version of 'Priscilla,' approved of his performance.
