    Appeared in the films 'Melodies Old and New' (1942), 'The Boy with Green Hair' (1948), 'Cat Ballou' (1965), 'Ski Party' (1965), 'How to Stuff a Wild Bikini' (1965), 'Dr. Goldfoot and the Bikini Machine' (1965) and 'A Night at the Roxbury' (1995)
    Wrote the autobiography 'Forever Dobie'

Why he might be annoying:

    He said of his start as a child actor, 'Actually I hated it. I was shy and terrified of the whole thing.'
    He bleached his hair as Dobie.
    He released a couple of albums, later noting 'In those days everybody recorded.... Some became successful and others like myself weren't very good singers.'
    'Dobie Gillis' left him typecast as a teen just as he was getting too old to pull it off.

    He became a painter with several art gallery showings.
