Why ABC Family might be annoying:

It went through many identities.
At various times, Pat Robertson, Rupert Murdoch and Michael Eisner owned it.
Though Pat Robertson sold the network, he still forces it to show 'The 700 Club.'
News Corporation and Haim Saban were so busy bickering over ownership of then-Fox Family that they didn't pay attention to sinking ratings.
It tends to lose a lot of money.
It unsuccessfully tried to spin off two separate networks for boys and girls.
It over-hypes their original series.
Its made-for-TV movies are extremely corny.

Why ABC Family might not be annoying:

Though it calls itself a family channel, it does show non family-friendly fare.
It doesn't self-promote as much as another Disney-owned network, the Disney Channel.
It showed Major League Baseball playoff games in the late 1990's and early 2000's.
Disney changed their mind of having only ABC series' reruns on the network and started showing repeats from FOX and WB shows.
It shows disclaimers before 'The 700 Club' saying its opinions do not reflect those of the show.
