Baseball Player

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

He is remembered for being one of the three players the White Sox sent to San Francisco in the infamous 'white flag trade' (1997).
He went on to play for nine different teams following that trade.
He shared his name with a fellow teammate in Cleveland, which didn't become known until it was revealed the latter was using the pseudonym Fausto Carmona at the time they were teammates.
His effectiveness as a closer dropped off considerably following his trade to the Royals.
He was relegated to the setup relief role for the remainder of his career.

Why he might not be annoying:

He initially was a catcher, before making the switch to pitching.
He transferred to the University of South Carolina-Aiken, which gave exposure to the school and its baseball program.
He was considered one of the premier closers in the game during his years with the White Sox.
He converted 43 saves for the Devil Rays, during the franchise's inaugural season (1998).
He was the 11th pitcher in major league history to appear in 1,000 career games.
