Acted in ‘Sixteen Candles,’ ‘Gremlins 2: The New Batch,’ ‘Boys on the Side,’ ‘That Thing You Do,’ ‘Mulan,’ ‘Armageddon,’ ‘Edtv,’ ‘Slackers,’ ‘Mulan II’ and ‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall’

His most famous role promoted Asian stereotypes.
Some Asian activists consider him a sellout.
He wanted to initially make a living as a street musician.
He was so into character many people on the set of ‘Sixteen Candles’ were surprised to hear him speak in his normal American voice.
