His baseball career was sporadic.
He posted an earned run average of 6.00 during his three seasons in the majors.
His football career was just as bad, if not worse.
He was notorious for fumbling the football, along with throwing more interceptions then touchdowns.

He was considered a solid pitcher in the minor leagues.
He embraced the opportunity to play for the Eagles, as they were the closest team to his hometown.
He served as the president, manager and business manager of the Can-Am League's Ottawa Senators.
He guided the Rough Riders to a Grey Cup appearance in his first season of his second stint as the team's head coach.
He loved the city of Ottawa so much, he elected to reside there long after his sporting career ended, going as far as working in the city's private sector.
