    His perseverance paid off as he was drafted by the Pirates in the 38th round of the 2001 MLB Draft.
    He earned All-Star honors for three consecutive years in three different levels of the minor league ranks.
    He is the sixth player in major league history to hit a reverse cycle (July 2, 2016).
    He gave Cubs fans a scare, when he hit the game-tying home run off Aroldis Chapman in the bottom of the 8th inning in Game 7 of the 2016 World Series.
    His home run ranks among the classic suspenseful moments in World Series history.
