Drafted eighth overall by the Montreal Expos in the 1985 Major League Baseball Draft
Outfielder for the Texas Rangers (1986-90), Detroit Tigers (1991; 1998), Houston Astros (1992; 1998), Philadelphia Phillies (1993-94; 1996), Chiba Lotte Marines (1995), Baltimore Orioles (1996-97) and the New York Yankees (1997)

Why he might be annoying:

He was named in the Grimsley affidavit for amphetamine use.
He had an incredibly high strikeout rate during his career.
He played on six different teams, including two separate stints with the Tigers, Phillies and Astros.
He was traded by the Expos mere weeks after being drafted by the team.
Due to this, Major League Baseball implemented a rule which prevents teams from trading away draftees for a calendar year as a result.
He was unable to replicate his numbers from his rookie season for the remainder of his career.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was considered an intimidating power hitter by baseball pundits.
He left OSU as the NCAA’s all-time leader in both career home runs and home runs in a season.
He reached the major leagues a year after being drafted without any minor league experience.
He hit 20+ home runs in his first five major league seasons.
He was considered an integral part of the Phillies team that reached the World Series (1993).
