Why he might be annoying:

His nickname was 'Mean Joe' Green.
He was in a Coca-Cola commercial, where a little boys gives him a coke and in return he gives the boy his jersey.
Many NFL Players felt like he lost his 'Mean Joe' image after the commercial came out.
Children would try to give him a Coke, just so they could get his jersey.
In high school, after his team suffered a tough loss, some hecklers threw garbage on him as he was leaving the stadium. He responded by jumping into the stands, demanding to fight each and every one of them. The whole gang of hecklers ran away in fear.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was the cornerstone of the Steeler's 'Steel Curtain' defense in the 1970's.
He was inducted in to the NFL Hall of Fame in 1987.
He spent his entire career as a Steeler.
His Coca-Cola commercial is one of the most famous commercials of all-time.
He was a ten time Pro-Bowler.
Despite his on-field reputation, he enjoyed visiting sick kids in hospitals.
