Why Sega SG-1000 might be annoying:

It did not use the Z80 chip but the NEC 780C clone. Eventually it upgraded to the authentic Z80.
It was limited to displaying 32 colors (but could be tricked into 64).

Why Sega SG-1000 might not be annoying:

It was Sega's first gaming console. It was a forerunner for Sega's Master System.
Othello Multivision and Dina 2-in-1 were able to play SG-1000 games.
It allowed for primitive 3D graphics.
