Played for the Montreal Expos (1985-91, 2002), St. Louis Cardinals (1992), Colorado Rockies (1993-97), Atlanta Braves (1998-2000), Texas Rangers (2001), San Francisco Giants (2001, 2003), Anaheim Angels (2004) and New York Mets (spring training 2005)

Why he might be annoying:

His nickname was 'The Big Cat.'
His surname is extremely hard to spell.
He set the Braves record for most times hit by pitches in a single season.
He retired one home run short of 400.
He struggled playing in the American League.
He was a journeyman player in the later stages of his career.
Some baseball pundits feel his success with the Rockies was as a result of Denver's high altitude.

He sat out the entire 1999 season after being diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
He made a successful comeback the following season (2000).
He was the first Colorado Rockie to play in an All-Star Game (1993).
