Why Queen's Golden Gaels might be annoying:

Their mascot is named 'Boo Hoo the Bear.'
They were known as 'The Tricolor,' prior to 1947.
Their basketball team lost the first ever inter-university game (February 6, 1904).
Their ice hockey team lost all three appearances in the Stanley Cup challenge games. (1895, 1899, 1905).
Modern sports historians forget their hockey and football teams competed for both the Stanley Cup and the Grey Cup during the early part of the 20th century.
They shortened their name to the Queen's Gaels, which some felt was done out of the sake of change.

Why Queen's Golden Gaels might not be annoying:

They are one of the oldest active university athletic programs in Canada.
Their football program won three consecutive Grey Cup championships, prior to the trophy being exclusively awarded to the professional ranks.
The football team won four Vanier Cup championships (1968, 1978, 1992, 2009).
They are considered one of Ontario's successful university teams.
Their ice hockey team participated in what was later known as one of the first organized ice hockey games in North America (1883-84).
