Why she might be annoying:

She lost the part of Melanie in ‘Gone with the Wind’ to Olivia De Havilland.
Although she stood out among a number of actresses in ‘Stage Door,’ including Katharine Hepburn, Ginger Rogers and Lucille Ball, her career didn’t last as long.
She was very religious.

Why she might not be annoying:

Her father in law owned the legendary race horse Seabiscuit.
After she retired from acting she became a horse breeder and ran a jewelry store.
Her daughter died from cancer.
Her interest in acting faded when her fiancee died from a sudden illness.
