Why he might be annoying:

    His name is hard to pronounce.
    He didn’t make his NHL debut until six years after he was drafted.
    He was virtually unknown in North American hockey circles, prior to making the Coyotes roster.
    He signed with the Coyotes as part of the front office’s strategy to build a roster that wasn’t strong in order to accumulate prospects and draft capital.
    He posted a 13-32-3 record in his rookie season with the Coyotes.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He was a standout goaltender in the Czech Extraliga.
    His performance in the Czech league caught the eyes of Coyotes scouts, who was looking to make a significant upgrade at their goaltending position.
    He rose to the Coyotes starting goaltender position following an injury to Carter Hutton and performed well enough to earn it permanently.
    He played admirably well in his first season with the Coyotes, despite having a poor defensive unit behind him.
    He was a member of the Czech national team that won the bronze medal at the IIHF World Championship (2022).
