Why he might be annoying:

He claimed that he bit off the end of his injured finger so he could finish a game.
He brought the Dodgers to an exhibition game against the Indians, only to have Cleveland manager Tris Speaker explain, 'The game's tomorrow.' (1923)
He tried to catch a baseball dropped from an airplane (March 13, 1925). However, pilot Ruth Law forgot to bring a baseball and substituted a grapefruit, which burst on impact, leaving Robinson thinking he was covered in blood until his teammates started laughing.

Why he might not be annoying:

In a display of endurance, he caught all three games of a triple-header, followed by a double header the next day (1896).
In a June 10, 1892 game, he set records for most hits (7, since tied) and most RBIs (11, since broken).
He was so beloved in Brooklyn that the Dodgers were known as the Robins during his tenure as manager.
Casey Stengel said, 'He was the finest man I ever knew in baseball.... He not only taught me how to play the outfield but he taught me how to live.'
