Why they might be annoying:

Before settling on Haircut One Hundred, they went through the names Rugby, the Boat Party, Captain Pennyworth, and Moving England.
They were one-hit wonders in the US, where ‘Love Plus One’ was their only Top 40 hit.
Lead singer and songwriter Nick Heyward left during the recording sessions for their second album, which flopped without him.

Why they might not be annoying:

They had four top ten hits in Britain.
’Smash Hits’ wrote that they did ‘for jazz-funk what Dexy’s did for R&B.’
Heyward rejoined the other members for VH1’s ‘Bands Reunited.’ (2004)
