Why he might be annoying:

He planned to marry a gay republican.
Like Vytas, he was unable to beat out the 'two-old-moms' dyad of Tina and Laura M. on Redemption Island.
Try catching him without his baseball cap on!
He'd bring his duck call to the island...how useful would that be?
Although he fared better than Rachel in the airtime department, the edit he received was far from that of a winner.
Near the end of his Redemption Island challenge, he was close to beating out Tina in building a house of cards when his tower tumbled down.

Why he might not be annoying:

He loved sweet tea.
He cuddled Colton on his lap as his fiance was making his tearful argument for quitting.
He subverted almost all of the homosexual stereotypes his lovey dovey fueled.
He regarded his parents, builders of a large cattle and chicken operation out of a small five-acre farm, as his inspirations.
Evidence of his hunting expertise, he shot a 12-point buck on a very early deer hunt.
He disliked people who wouldn't put down their cell phones.
'I wanted to help show America what love looks like because it doesn’t matter whether it is between two men, two women, or a man and woman.'
