He damaged his vocal cords after screaming 'Windows' repeatedly at a meeting (1991).
He popped out of a cake during Microsoft's 25th anniversary celebration to surprise an audience (2000).
He married a fellow Microsoft employee.

He is the only man to become a billionaire on stock options received as an employee in a corporation.
He scored a perfect 800 on the math SATs and received a scholarship to Harvard by competing in math tournaments.
