When he presented himself to King George VI in Britain, he gave the Nazi salute.
Before the war, he worked as a salesman.
Near the end of the war, his office encouraged the murder of a downed Allied airmen.

His actions helped Hitler do serious damage to the Soviet Union, giving the US an edge in the Cold War.
