TV Network

The Resume

    (July 3, 2013- )
    Cable news channel
    Founded by Robert Herring, Sr.
    Owned by Herring Networks
Headquartered in San Diego with news bureaus in New York City and Washington, DC
    Motto: ‘Your Nation, Your News’

Why One America News Network might be annoying:

On television, it refers to itself as OAN, while on Twitter it is known as OANN. Similarly, its website domain is oann.com while the site banner reads OAN. (Make up your minds!)
Its shilling for Donald Trump makes Fox News look restrained.
It hired Pizzagate conspiracy theorist Jack Posobiec as a political correspondent.
One of their reporters, Kristian Brunovich Rouz, also works for the Russian state-owned news agency Sputnik; the network does not disclose the obvious conflict of interest when Rouz reports stories downplaying or denying Russian interference in US elections.
It was the only major media outlet to support the Trump administration’s attempt to revoke Jim Acosta’s press credentials.
They reported that Roy Moore had been elected to the Senate by ‘a wide margin’ when he had actually lost (2017); when reality set in, they made unsubstantiated allegations of voter fraud.
They aired conspiracy theories that COVID-19 was created in a US lab, with the funding coming from Anthony Fauci.
Trump said about their production values, ‘Such great words, such awful visuals.’
They openly beg for praise from Trump, as in a (later deleted) tweet, ‘President Trump recently gave a speech thanking his supporters in the media. Not one mention of One America News – one of his GREATEST supporters… @OANN calls bullshit.’ (March, 2019)
Despite Trump’s boosterism, their viewership remains less than a tenth that of Fox News, MSNBC, or CNN.

Why One America News Network might not be annoying:

Unlike some networks, they don’t bother with the pretense of being ‘fair and balanced.’
Thanks to the network’s policy of not reporting polls showing <393>Hillary Clinton<393/> ahead of Donald Trump, its viewers were among the few people not surprised by the result of the 2016 Presidential election.
It airs all of President Trump’s speeches uninterrupted.
Trump declared, ‘It’s a great network.’
